| Planning is underway to restore the Frick Environmental Center that burned to the ground in 2002. Over the past year and a half, project partners, including the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, have held numerous public meetings to learn what the community wants from the new Center. Moving forward with inspiration from those public meetings, the project partners continue to make progress on this project. The new building design by IKM and the education and business plans are nearly complete. This exciting project will create a state-of-the-art green building with programs that teach education through restoration. For more information on this project, call PPC at 412-682-7275 or the Frick Environmental Center at the City of Pittsburgh’s Parks and Recreation Department, 412-255-2539.
