Washington Boulevard Bike Track
The half-mile oval loop along Washington Boulevard is a one-of-a-kind attraction, drawing both elite cyclists and beginners to its banked corners and slight hill. Formerly a driver's training course, the velodrome accommodates track and criterium racing and time trials. Kids who are learning how to inline skate or riding their bikes or scooters can use the flat, interior surfaces. Reservoir Walkway
The promenade around the historic Reservoir No. 1 is a 3/4-mile walkway that provides a cool hilltop oasis to runners, walkers and those looking for an escape from the city. In 1998, park enthusiasts successfully campaigned against an effort to seal the reservoir with a plastic cover to comply with environmental regulations on drinking
