Busy Weekend at Schenley Plaza | 4.28.09
Lots to do at Schenley Plaza this weekend...on Friday night, May 1, WYEP brings its Live & Direct CD release party to the Plaza with live music from Donora and the Jennifer O'Connor Band. Then on Sunday, May 3, Oakland will cheer on the Pittsburgh Marathon runners with the Oakland Alive festival. At the Plaza you'll find all kinds of family activities, as well as music from Dublin Rising, Call Paula, and Vindell.

Mellon Park Community Meeting | 4.21.09
Join the Parks Conservancy, the City of Pittsburgh, and the Office of Public Art at a community meeting for the restoration of the Mellon Park Walled Garden this Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in Simmons Hall at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts at 1047 Shady Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Plant a Tree with the Pittsburgh Pirates | 4.20.09
We're pleased to announce a new partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates that will benefit our parks. For every home run hit by the Pirates at PNC Park this season, the Pirates will donate a native tree to be planted in one of the regional parks - Frick, Highland, Riverview, and Schenley. The partnership will be highlighted in a pregame ceremony at Wednesday's 12:35 p.m. home game. To purchase tickets to the game, click here.
