Bike Trails

Frick Park's variety of trails makes it a popular destination for mountain bikers.   The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy has been working with local bicycling groups to ensure the sustainability of the park's bike trails.  To minimize environmental impact, cyclists are urged to use existing trails rather than creating new ones.  For example, riding straight down a hillside can contribute to trail washout, erosion, and damaging impact on the park's plant and animal populations.  Cyclists and pedestrians should take care to share the trails so that everyone can use the park safely.
