Learn options for slowing storm water and improving water quality in your yard. Participants will receive a native plant and a book about rain gardens. A light dinner is included.

The workshop will be moderated by Barton Kirk, ecological engineer and program manager for the non-profit SEEDS.  Barton has examined the sustainability of stormwater infrastructure and has particular interest in regenerative design that engages local citizens.  He has been leading rain garden and infrastructure design/build courses and workshops in the Northeast for the last three years with recent installations in Schenley Park and East Liberty.
