We're hosting a special butterfly walk in Frick Park this Sunday at 1:00pm! Join butterfly expert Walt Shaffer as he helps us spot and identify these beautiful creatures. We talk a lot at the Parks Conservancy about storm water management. Part of that process includes soils that infiltrate water effectively. To illustrate this, we're conducting a science experiment this week to see how well the soils we're using in our restoration projects perform in a rainstorm. Phil Gruszka, our Director of Management and Maintenance, takes you through a series of videos showing water's impact on soil. Check out the demonstration here.
