Mellon Square: A Modern Masterpiece on Vimeo.
The story of Mellon Square, an innovative park created in downtown Pittsburgh in the 1950s. One of the oldest surviving parks built over a parking garage, Mellon Square was designed by landscape architect John O. Simonds as an oasis in a crowded city center. Today's Mellon Square is a deteriorated shadow of its former self, and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is working to restore the park and create a plan for its continued maintenance.
