Next week we'll kick off three days of celebration of Mellon Square and its designer, landscape architect John O. Simonds. The Cultural Landscape Foundation is bringing its Pioneers symposium to Pittsburgh, and the Parks Conservancy will co-host a reception to kick off the event. The Parks Conservancy has broken ground on a comprehensive trail and signage improvement project in the four regional parks. Over the next year, trails and bridges throughout the parks will be repaired, and over 100 signs will be installed to help park users find their way and learn about the parks' history. Join us on Monday, October 26 at 9:30am as we break ground on our comprehensive trail and signage project in the parks! Beginning later this year, we'll be repairing trails and bridges in all four parks, as well as installing a standard system of directional and interpretive signs. We'll meet up in the Lower Frick parking lot off Lancaster Ave. in Regent Square, so come hear about this exciting project that will make a huge, positive impact on the parks.

Beginning at 10am on October 28, the Pittsburgh Foundation will sponsor a Match Day through its Pittsburgh Gives website. All donations from $50 to $2,500 will be matched 1:2 until matching funds have been exhausted.
