Schenley Plaza One Millionth Visitor Celebration

Since 2006, our Schenley Plaza staff has conducted head counts several times a day to determine visitorship. Now that visitor one million is fast approaching, we're having a free celebration on July 11 from 2:00 to 5:00pm! Come to the Plaza during the event and YOU could be the millionth visitor!
You can also enter to win prizes including:
- A Dean beginner guitar package from Backstage Guitars
- Pittsburgh Pirates tickets
- Hats
- T-shirts
- Note cards
- Gift certificates
- Great Race prize package
- Water Saver kits
The millionth visitor receives a personalized brick at the Plaza, a tree planted in their honor, and a lifetime membership to the Parks Conservancy.
Activities include:
- Citiparks Roving Art Cart
- Clear Channel Radio prize wheel
- Face-painting, balloon animals, and free carousel rides courtesy of PNC
- Animals from the Animal Rescue League
- Sunflowers to plant and take home from Friends of the Riverfront
- Activities with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History
- Free pedometers courtesy of UPMC Health Plan
Penn Future and The Black and Gold City Goes Green will be on hand accepting pledges to conserve water, with a goal of reaching One Million Gallons Conserved. America on the Move will encourage people to sign the One Million Steps pledge to increase physical fitness.
