Schenley Plaza represents an exciting new venue for your special event.  To hold an event at Schenley Plaza, you must submit an application to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy.

Plaza Areas Available for Special Event Rentals

The Schenley Plaza Oval with Tent is available for 475 (standing)/250 (seated) people.
A permanent oval tent (60' x 80') with clear side walls provides protection from the elements. The side panels may be pulled back if you wish.

The Emerald Lawn is available for 5,000 (standing) people.
The one-acre lawn is perfect for large-scale events, such as graduations and festivals.

The Ornamental Garden is available for 100 (standing)/75 (seated) people.
Bordering the lawn, the Garden is an ideal gathering spot for smaller, more intimate affairs.

The PNC Carousel is available for up to 19 (seated) people.
Its colorful menagerie of 15 animals ranges from a triceratops to a tiger, and it also features a wheelchair-accessible chariot and spinning tub for young children to ride with an adult. It is perfectly suited for a birthday party or other children’s event.

The Library Bosque is available for 1,000 (standing) people.
Located between the Emerald Lawn and the Main branch of the Carnegie Library in Oakland, the Library Bosque is a tree-lined walkway where guests are shaded by stately London plane trees.

The Mary E. Schenley Memorial Fountain area is available for 500 (standing) people.
This historic area offers beautiful vistas of Oakland, and its newly restored sculpture is an ideal backdrop for wedding photographs and celebrations.
